Observations on Modern Life
Lazinc. Gallery, London
April 5 - June 1 2019
While, historically speaking, there has never been a better time to be alive on earth, it is also a confusing and frightening moment for society.
Life as we know it is accelerating at exponential rates, populations are exploding while resources are dwindling. Communication is faster than ever, but more and more people risk being left behind in a world of irrelevancy. How do we humans cope with a future more vague than it has ever looked in the past? Jeffers tries to look through the cross hairs of this lens while seeking out the poetic, the poignant, and the humour of what it means to be alive on earth in the 21st century.
